For our latest customer collaboration, we’ve partnered with one of Sheffield’s finest boozers, The Rutland Arms.

Occupying a space between Black Maibock and Black IPL. A light malt base without roastiness but with chocolate flavours and a black colour, blending American and German hops for a tropical fruit with a light grassiness and floral notes should pair well with subtle lager base.

The Rutland Arms is a back street pub in Sheffield, less than five minutes from the station. Famed for a wide array of cask and keg beer, legendary Rutty Butties, and globally inspired food menu.

With an eclectic and eccentric decor, left leaning paraphernalia and clientele, the Rutland is famed for its inclusivity. With one exception; their infamous Forbidden Music Board, above the jukebox, enforced by the omnipotent red skip button behind the bar.

Designer and Rutty staff member Ad Clarkson has drawn inspiration from this for the label and name for this beer.

The beer itself celebrates the Rutland's play on tradition, combining historic, staff favourite styles (dark lager and Maibock), and giving them a big, hoppy, modern twist.

There are challenges at every turn in the industry but we’re standing united and together. This is the fourth release as part of a Patrons Project series where we collaborate with some of our favourite and most loved places to grab a drink, have something to eat, or pick up some cans.

RUTTY BUTTY AND A PINT. IYKYK.

For our latest customer collaboration, we’ve partnered with one of Sheffield’s finest pubs, The Rutland Arms.

The Rutty. A Sheffield institution. Go to the Rutland Arms and you’re guaranteed some banging beers, quality food (Rutty Butties anyone?), and a carefully curated jukebox. But beware the Forbidden Music Board.

With an eclectic and eccentric décor and left leaning paraphernalia (maybe a cardboard cutout of Ainsley Harriot hidden somewhere too), the Rutland is famed for its inclusivity. With one exception; their infamous Forbidden Music Board, above the jukebox, enforced by the omnipotent red skip button behind the bar.

Designer and Rutty staff member Ad Clarkson has drawn inspiration from this for the label and name for this beer. Can you tell who's banned?

The beer itself celebrates the Rutland's play on tradition, combining historic, staff favourite styles, like dark lager and Maibock, and giving them a big, hoppy, modern twist - occupying a space between Black Maibock and Black IPL. A light malt base without roastiness but with chocolate flavours and a black colour, blending American and German hops for a tropical fruit with a light grassiness and floral notes with a subtle lager base.
