Ben Mather is a graphic designer and illustrator from Wigan, who’s also spent portions of his life in Manchester and Bradford. He grew up reading cartoons, trying to draw the ones he liked best himself, with any sort of pen he could get his hands on. Now he’s found himself doing it as a career. Ben is a massive fan of hand drawn illustration, and takes inspiration from old movies, comic books and computer games. We partnered with Ben to create the Northern Heroes Patrons Project, where we re-imagine everyday Northern heroes as comic book stars.
