Where is Northern Monk beer made?
Our beer has been made in Leeds since 2013. We have two Northern Monk Breweries – The Old Flax Store and Sydenham Road. Want to learn more about our history and how we make our beer? Book a brewery tour today.
What is craft beer?
In the UK, the term 'craft beer' generally refers to independent, often founder-led breweries with a focus on flavour and innovation rather than mass appeal and low cost. It’s associated with ideas of being hand-crafted and using high-quality ingredients. The term is most often applied to modern breweries who predominantly package in can and keg, with a focus on styles such as pale ale, IPA, sours, and stouts. However, the same principles of independence and quality can just as easily apply to traditional cask breweries.
