What is an IPA?
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and was originally brewed with added hops to help the beer survive the long journey over to India to serve the British Raj. We no longer rely on the hops for this and instead use them for their intense flavour and punchy aroma.
What strength are IPAs?
IPAs tend to be a little stronger than standard ales. Our classic IPA, Beyond, sits at an ABV of 6.5%, while our double hazy IPAs, like Heathen Club Outlaw, hit an ABV of 8% or above. Our session IPAs are a lower strength, without sacrificing flavour.
