We launched Faith in 2015 as a Modern Pale Ale. Now it’s arguably the best
core pale ale in the country and it was one of the first New England IPA style
brews to launch in the UK.

In 2016, our founders Russ and Brian, took a trip to the US, under the guise of
researching the style of beers booming over there. The duo spent a week
travelling around New England and Vermont, solidifying a love of the Hazy IPA
and cementing a vision of Northern Monk being the number one Hazy IPA brewer in
the UK - led by Faith.

Extensive taste tests were
carried out by the duo, all in the name of product research, and Faith would
become our shining light, for good.

In 2020, we dropped the ‘modern’ from the label. Faith is still modern, but we wanted to
make sure everyone knew exactly what they’re getting by looking at the can - a Hazy
Pale Ale.

Now, in 2023, Faith is still our headline act, our crown jewel, and we still think it’s
one of the best pale ales you can get, whether that’s a pint of it in your
local, a 12-pack from the supermarket, or a few cans to top up your webshop
order from us.

Since 2015, we’ve expanded the Faith Family with launches of A Little Faith (a 4%
version) in pubs, and Holy Faith, our non-alcoholic version, as well as several
Twists on Faith.
