ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER- NORTHERN MARKET
Reports to: General Manager
Location: Leeds, The Northern Market
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Dependent on experience

JOB ROLE:
We are looking for a facilitating, organised and passionate person to join our growing team. This role reports to the General Manager and will work closely with the Bar supervisors. The key responsibilities are improving the level of service, hosting, and shift management. We are looking for someone who enjoys managing a team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that the team are well supported and that the bar is equipped to create the best beer experiences in the world.
The successful candidate will be pioneering and facilitating and comfortable working remotely with our Head Office team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also important, as you will be working with other teams at Northern Monk. We’re extremely proud of our craft and will be looking for applicants that share our enthusiasm and drive for quality. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The following outlines the roles and responsibilities of the post holder:
- To manage booking enquiries and booking procedures.
- To be directly responsibility for bar service, working alongside the team to provide an excellent level of service.
- To work with the management team to both set and drive bar standards.
- To take an active approach to ensuring the best possible customer experience.
- To take responsibility of a company email address, with all emails being responded to within 48 hours of receipt.
- To maintain a high level of organisation and cleanliness in The Northern Market, through audits and closedown checks.
- Assist with all other areas of The Northern Market as required.
- Proactively seek feedback from guests after their event.
- Always provide superior customer service in person and via telephone calls and emails.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings when required and share best practice with colleagues.
- Be comfortable always representing the values and ethos of the company.
