SERIES 30 // LANRE BAKARE

This Patrons Project takes us on a journey of discovery with Lanre Bakare. From growing up in Bradford’s Nigerian community to living in downtown LA, we will see and taste the world through his lens. A born and bred Bradfordian, Lanre cut his teeth in the local indy scene, before going on to become an Arts and Culture Correspondent for The Guardian.

This saw him setting up US coverage for the publication, and spending time living in New York, LA, and London interviewing cultural icons of the likes of Steve McQueen, Angela Davis and Cillian Murphy, as well as co-writing a book with Ovie Soko.
